If A can finish a work in 24 days and B can finish it in 36 days, how long will it take for both to finish the work if they work together for 12 days?

Answer: C. 20 days
In 12 days, A and B together complete 12*(1/24 + 1/36) = 1/2 of the work. Therefore, they will take another 12 days to finish the remaining half.
