A, B and C contract a work for Rs. 550. Together A and B do 7/11 of the work. The share of C (in rupees) is

Answer: C. 200

(A + B)'s work = 7/11
So, C's work = 1 - (7/11) = (11 - 7) / 11 = 4/11
Thus, ratio of (A + B) and C's share = (7/11) : (4/11) = 7 : 4
Hence, C's share in a contract of Rs. 550
= Rs. 550 x (4/11) = Rs. 200.
